Press Release

Farnborough, England - 22 May 2019

Pilots have been able to upload their RocketRoute flight plans directly, via Honeywell’s datalink network since 2018.

Now Honeywell GoDirect has launched a new, low-cost datalink plan, called ‘Datalink Lite’, which offers the same great benefits but in an affordable package, for those aircraft operators who fly less frequently or fly shorter routes.

GoDirect Aircraft Datalink is an accurate and reliable global solution for two-way communications between the aircraft cockpit and ground-based communications networks. The lighter version offers the benefits of Datalink, but without a more expensive monthly fee.

Steve Morgan, Senior Business Development Manager states, “Flexibility is one of the core tenets of RocketRoutes values.  We are delighted to offer our customers even more choice in how they operate.” Morgan added, “The new Datalink Lite service by Honeywell offers our customers added capability that was previously only available to larger aircraft.”

This new service package is designed for business and general aviation operators and provides real-time weather information in the cockpit. It also reduces pre-flight pilot workload by uploading flight plans directly from RocketRoute’s FlightPlan service.  Making it even easier for pilots to manage their flight operations and increase efficiency.
