RocketRoute has Moved to Farnborough

RocketRoute, one of the fastest growing flight-planning services worldwide, is now based in the Terminal at TAG Farnborough Airport. Previously based in Guildford, RocketRoute moved 25 minutes along the road to the historic home of British flight as part of its on-going expansion.

Founded in 2010 to meet the needs of private pilots, RocketRoute now has over 100,000 registered users in over 70 countries, including commercial airlines, leading aircraft manufacturers, trip support services, and national governments worldwide.

“RocketRoute’s new, historic location seems fitting for a company responsible for 1 million flights planned, and several million autoroutes, we’re delighted to be based on such a prestigious site,” said Kurt Lyall, co-founder of RocketRoute.

RocketRoute is known for cutting edge advancements in flight planning and is properly positioned within the long traditions of aviation at Farnborough; an executive and general aviation airport which has won many prestigious awards in recent years.

TAG Aviation took over Farnborough in 2003 from the MoD and overhauled virtually all of its facilities. It won architecture and building awards for its new, state-of-the-art terminal in 2007 and, more recently ‘best fixed-base operator in Europe’.

As well as being home to the famous biennial flight show, this unique airport has been associated with aviation in Britain since the very first powered flight; on 16 October 1908, when Samuel Cody took off from Farnborough in his ‘British Army Aeroplane No 1’.
