Another great improvement from RocketRoute.
The latest update ensures users receive and use routing options faster, without having to wait for the whole routing process to complete.
What has changed
The RocketRoute Autorouting process uses several sub processes to find and display routes. Previously routes were only displayed when the complete routing process had finished, taking precious seconds. It looked like this:
Now RocketRoute immediately returns routes to the display as they are found, and allows users to assess these routes, interact with the map, use the Settings and the whole panel on the right side whilst the routing process is still ongoing. After the improvements it looks as below:
Upon pressing 'Autoroute', the autoroute process starts and the following happens:
The top Autoroute button changes colour to red and displays text 'Cancel'. The bottom Autoroute button does the same, with the addition of the 'in progress' dots animation to the left of 'Cancel'. The 'In progress' GIF (dots) and 'Generating Routes' appears just above the route string box.
The autoroute process can also be cancelled at any time, preserving routes already found and validated.
Another important improvement is that the map and info panel on the right side are usable during the routes generation process and while the results are being shown in the route table.
