RocketRoute is delighted to announce that Privateways, the first European operator of the HondaJet, has chosen us for its flight planning. Privateways’ boutique charter service operates ‘the most advanced, fastest, quietest and most convenient jet in its class’, the long-awaited HondaJet.
Weighing less than 10,000lbs, this very light jet carries a price tag of $4.5 million and is entirely the brainchild of one engineer, Michimasa Fujino, chief executive of Honda Aircraft Company. The plane is the culmination of his 29-year obsession to create a breakthrough small jet aircraft; quieter, roomier and faster than any rival on the commercial market.
Clearly, an innovative jet deserves an innovative flight planning system, and RocketRoute is very happy to fit the bill. The success of the plane, which cost $1.5-2.0 billion to develop and build, has boosted the image of Honda. The $117 billion (sales) Japanese industrial icon was previously known for cars, motorcycles, and generators.
Healthy advance orders of over 100 suggested that buyers would mostly be US citizens and companies in the $20-40 million asset range. However, Privateways is based in Germany, where RocketRoute already have a proven track record.
