NEW IMPROVEMENT: NOTIFICATION OF FLIGHT SUSPENDED STATUS

Written by Valentyna | Jul 12, 2019 7:00:24 AM

Forewarned is forearmed. Be notified with a highly visible notification when one or more flights are suspended by Eurocontrol. This notification indicates that corrective action is needed to avoid Eurocontrol rejecting the active flight plan. A suspension reason is also shown.

How to see the Flight Suspended Status notification

The flight status for all flights (Filed, Draft, Cancelled, Suspended) are shown in the default RocketRoute page ‘All Flights’.

When a Flight Suspended Status (FLS) message is received and assigned to a flight, the corresponding flight row in the ‘All Flights’ list will update.

The status circle on the left will switch to a red colour. In the 'Dep' column, appears a 'SUSPENDED' label.

Click the 'SUSPENDED' label to see the reason for suspension and full details in a separate pop-up:

Possible suspension reasons:

  • SIT TIME OUT
  • SLOT MISSED
  • REGULATION CONFIRMATION
  • DELAY CONFIRMATION
  • TRAFFIC VOLUMES CONDITION
  • NOT REPORTED AS AIRBORNE
  • FLIGHT PLAN REVALIDATION
  • MANUAL SUSPENSION
  • AIRPORT SUSPENSION

Manage Flight Plan

Clicking on the suspended flight row will open a new tab showing the Flight Summary.

The Suspended status information is also shown here for reference.

Click 'VIEW DETAILS' to expand.

In the example above, since the plan was filed a tactical route restriction has been activated by Eurocontrol, meaning that the route can not be flown.

Eurocontrol have supplied a new route (NEWRTE) which can now be copied and submitted via RocketRoute’s new Change Flight Plan Feature. Or, using the Change feature you can try for a fresh route, as the autorouter will now take into account the new restriction that originally caused the Flight Plan Suspension.
