If you are doing aerial observation, RocketRoute can now ensure a lower fuel burn for you while you loiter in the air.

RocketRoute FlightPlan was recently upgraded such that you can now select Default STAY and Default Endurance Profiles. To do this, open your 'Aircraft Settings', go to  'Fuel & Performance' and you will see two new dropdowns; 'Default STAY Profile' and 'Default Endurance Profile'.

Default STAY Profile

This drop-down list will be available for all aircraft with advanced performance data and contains all Cruise and Holding profiles. The user can select from this drop-down list any profile as default for fuel calculation in STAY. This selected default profile will be shown on Step 2 page in 'Performance Profiles' section if STAY statement was added to the route. On Step 2 page user can change STAY profile from default to another one and selected profile will be used for fuel calculation in STAY point. Selected STAY profile will be shown in those flight log templates which list profiles for all stages of flight.

Default Endurance Profile

This drop-down list will be available for all aircraft with advanced performance data and contains all Cruise profiles and 'Most Economical' item. Where 'Most Economical' is the lowest fuel flow value generated by the system automatically comparing all Fuel Flow values across all cruise profiles for certain landing mass. The user can select from this drop-down list any profile as default for Endurance calculation. This selected default profile will be shown on Step 2 page in 'Performance Profiles' section. On Step 2 page user can change Endurance profile from default to another one and selected profile will be used for Endurance calculation of the flight. After the change of Endurance profile on Step 2 page it will be dynamically recalculated according to the selected profile. For Endurance calculation system takes Take-Off fuel and divide it on most economical fuel flow value from a selected profile for certain landing mass.
