The Flight Level to Alternate is automatically calculated, based on the great circle distance between the Destination Airport and the specified Alternate Airport.
With the latest improvements users can now override this behaviour if required and directly input a preferred Flight Level for the Route to an Alternate.

Specify the Flight Level to the Alternate airport.
You may also select a STAR for the alternate in this section.
Press the ‘Autoroute’ button to create a new route which includes alternates and accurate fuel calculations.
Note:
The system may return an error: ‘Adjust your Maximum/Minimum Flight Level’. As in our example – the desired flight level to an alternate is F030 but the saved minimum flight level for the aircraft is F040. This can be easily changed in the ‘Autoroute Settings’. Click to expand, input a new flight level and press ‘Autoroute’ again.
