This latest feature displays all NOTAMs on a separate map layer in the form of pin drops. See the illustration below.
How it works
To make the NOTAM pin drops visible expand the map Settings on the right side toolbar. Toggle the NOTAM switch from 'Off' to 'On' and the corresponding map layer will appear.
Open Settings, turn on the NOTAM.
Note: To see the NOTAM pin drops zoom into at least 50km scale.
Click on the NOTAM pin drop, and the NOTAM information will appear as a pop-up:
This feature is available through the Web application only.
'Before You File' Advisories
If a relevant NOTAM is missed, there will be a reminder in the final ‘Before you file’ advisory. All applicable restrictions for the departure airport (NOTAMs in particular) are shown. The NOTAM is hyperlinked, to read further information.
NOTAM Section
At any time NOTAMs can be viewed by following these steps:
- Press 'Save' at any stage of preparing a flight
- Scroll down and click on the NOTAM section
- All available NOTAMs will be opened in a separate tab.
