RocketRoute has upgraded how route information is returned and displayed when planning routes.
Multiple routes are returned in a new format with extra tabs that present supplementary information for each result:
Having such information readily available empowers decision making when selecting the most suitable route option for a flight.
Routes are presented in default categories, ordered by lowest fuel burn, as follows:
Routes also come from a variety of sources. The route sources are indicated by a colored icon - Green for valid and Red for non-valid.
The order of routes can be custom sorted by the column headers - select and sort by EET, NM, Fuel, and so on.
An inner scroll bar appears if there are more than 5 routing results.
Hovering a mouse pointer over the icons or table headers will display tooltips, which provide additional information. See example:
ATC Preferred Route tooltip shows any specific details about the preferred route which may help to decide whether this route is applicable to a flight.
Given there is not a full pre-validation process in Brazil, having access to ATC preferred routes, is highly useful for a flight planner, because such routes are likely to be accepted by Brazilian ATC. The remarks are available both in Portuguese and English.
