Improvement: Select Crew on Step 1

UPDATE SCHEDULED GO LIVE BY 05 MAY 2020

RocketRoute continuously looks to improve and reduce any unnecessary extra steps between flight planning and flying. One of the most recent improvements is moving 'Crew' selection to the first step of flight planning.

It is now possible to assign flight crew in Step 1 after the route and M&B planning has been done. Complete planning is done on one page with the ability to proceed straight to the filing of the flight plan. In addition, all post-filing modifications can be now also be completed on a single page.

Old layout vs. New layout.

Step 1 Changes to Crew Selection

Previously, the users selected Pilot in Command, First Officer and Extra Crew Member on Step 2, as shown below.

Old Layout: Step 1 does not have option for assigned Crew

Old Layout: Selecting Crew was an option found in Step 2.

This update means that the selection of Crew can be completed directly on Step 1, together with the other settings and parameters.

New Layout: Crew section is now available on Step 1.

New Layout: Click the 'Crew' section to expand, select PIC, FO and XCM as required.

Adding Crew While Creating Flight Templates

A second benefit from moving the 'Crew' section to Step 1 is the ability to select and save Crew members for the Flight Templates.

When creating a new flight template, the pilot in command, first officer and an extra crew member can be added to the template.
