Another small but beneficial improvement from RocketRoute and just in time for the new flying season - the improved selection of alternate airports.
Using the 'Alternate 1' or 'Alternate 2' airport selector, the 5 closest airports to the destination airport will be displayed. See image below (click to zoom).

In this example, Alternate 1 (EGBE Coventry) and Alternate 3 (EGNX Nottingham East Midlands) have been selected from the suggested lists. (Click on the image below to expand).

If any preferred alternate airports are saved within your account, RocketRoute will display them and pre-fill the relevant fields with those alternates. If the suggested preferred airports are not required, remove them from the fields, click on the empty space within the field for the app to show another 5 options.

This feature will, of course, work for the Departure airports in case a Departure alternate is selected.
Use 'Alternate 1' only for a Departure Alternate airport.
For the 'Additional Alternates' feature, the same approach is applied to those additional alternate airports - the 5 closest airports will be suggested.
