New scheduled flight
The process is seamless and intuitive.
New flights can easily be added to the timeline by an aircraft operator, sales department or pilot. Using the Skylegs quotation module, a mission is created simply by dragging the mouse across the selected aircraft’s row. A new window opens, for filing the relevant data; period, category, client and more.
Once the mission is created, the next step is to add a flight. Just click below the mission, which should now have appeared next to the selected aircraft. Another window appears, where all data regarding the flight is filled in; departure, arrival, airports, crew and so on. This form is intelligent and pre-fills as much data as possible.
Flight preparation phase
Depending on the type of operation, flights may need individual attention regarding external services and actions to be performed.
If you open the mission and select a flight, a list of services opens below, together with a checklist. It offers a customisable selection of services, such as handling or catering. Status is easily tracked and the providers are contactable directly by e-mail.
Actual flight phase
Closer to the departure, the actual flight planning begins. This is done by opening the “actual” tab in the flight form.
From here, the integration process starts with RocketRoute by clicking ‘Send to RocketRoute’.
Alternatively, you may choose to have it sent automatically. The flight appears on the RocketRoute platform, with most of the data pre-filled from Skylegs. An initial route is calculated so, ideally, the pilot or OCC department only needs to check and confirm the details.
Finally, when the time of departure arrives and the pilot is at the airport, he opens the Skylegs app on his tablet, where he has offline access to all the information regarding the flight, including Flight Briefing, OFP, METAR, NOTAM, company manuals and more.
After the flight documents are checked, the pilot can sign them using his individual three letter code and a personal PIN. The documents are safely stored on the Skylegs servers for record keeping and auditing purposes.
