Every day RocketRoute securely tracks many hundreds of flights for our members.
Flight tracking with RocketRoute is a free service included in ALL levels of membership.
Our security means only the member who files a flight plan using RocketRoute has the control to be able to share flight tracking with other people. This provides a convenient yet secure method of using flight tracking.
Sharing flight tracking is convenient to inform handlers, work colleagues, or friends and family.
Business users of RocketRoute are set up under a master account. All users in that group are able to view flights across the business and are able to share flights securely as well.
If you operate aircraft commercially the ability to see a planned route versus an actual flown route can help you identify fuel savings and operational improvements to your business.
RocketRoute currently supports the following methods of flight tracking. Once set they are fully automatic:
RocketRoute is also happy to connect to other 3rd party flight-tracking service providers. Send your request together with details to support@rocketroute.com.
If you have flown an IFR flight in Europe you will already see a menu item "Track Flight". Click this menu.
A new page will open and provide a Flight Summary plus a graphical view of the flight.
The image below shows that the flight is now closed. It shows the planned route and the route tracked according to Eurocontrol.
If the flight is in the air this page will show a live moving marker for the aircraft together with speed, altitude, and bearing.
At the bottom of the data panel is a link to share a flight by Email, Facebook or Tweet. Use the Email option to send before your flight.
If you are viewing an active flight (filed but not airborne) you will see the Track Flight menu as well.
If you operate multiple aircraft you can see all movements on the main menu TRACK page as well. This also provides a quick and easy method to review flights and monitor aircraft.
