RocketRoute has been working closely with the Dutch authorities LVNL to adopt their new requirements for filing VFR plans electronically.
The benefits for members are that you now receive an official Acknowledgement upon filing (the same way as IFR plans are Acknowledged by Eurocontrol). This improves safety and reduces the risk of a Tower not finding a rogue plan on start-up.
RocketRoute prides itself on working closely with AROs and ensuring our systems are fully compliant with their needs.
Prepare a Flight Plan as usual in RocketRoute.
RocketRoute users will receive an acknowledgement messages for a filed VFR flight from the LVNL (LVNL stands for Luchtvaartverkeersleiding Nederland/Air Traffic Control Netherlands) made within the Netherlands. Also, the Ack will be sent to the pilot's telephone number and e-mail box.
Below is an example of the e-mail which will be sent to your e-mail address after the VFR flight plan has been filed.
Additionally, there are five airports (EHGG, EHAM, EHBK, EHRD and EHLE) which support arrival/departure acknowledgement. RocketRoute will send the arrival/departure messages received from these airports to the telephone numbers specified in your account. So that your family/friends could be notified about your safe take off/landing.
To add more telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for the arrival/departure notifications, go to the 'Account' tab, press Alerts and tick the required options of the SMS Preferences.
Then go to the Arrival Notifications section and tick the necessary option there. If you chose the first option ("Send arrival message"), the arrival message will be sent after your aircraft has landed. If you choose the second option ("Send 15 minute warning"), the message will be sent 15 before the arrival time.
You can add and remove e-mail addresses and telephone numbers by pressing 'Add more' and 'Remove' buttons respectfully.
After all ticks were put, numbers and addresses entered, press the Save button.
Now you family and friends will be notified about your safe flight and landing.
