Avoid Countries

Introduction

When you fly in this rapidly changing world with constant hazards due to different situations in different countries, there may arise a need of avoiding some countries' airspace.

RocketRoute cares not only about saving pilot's time, but also about safety of the flight. We present our new feature: Avoid countries.

How it Works

1. You can set up the autorouter to avoid some countries permanently.

To do this you need to specify the country ICAO code in the Account settings.

Go to Account tab, select Autorouting section and insert an ICAO code of a country you would like to avoid permanently while planning. A list of ICAO country codes can be found on this page.

When preparing your route, the Autoroute will automatically avoid the selected country (-ies) (the example shows Iraq, ICAO code is OR, and Syria, ICAO code - OS).

2. The autorouter can be set up to avoid a country just once.

To do this you will not need to change the country code in the Account Autorouting Section, you will need to specify the country right on the Prepare Plan Page.

Prepare your plan as per normal, scroll down, click to expend the Autoroute Settings, put in the ICAO code(-s) of the country(-ies) that should be avoided and press the Autoroute button.
