Socata TBM900
The TBM 900 is the world’s fastest single-engine turboprop. Not only is it fast, but it also only burns 57 gallons of fuel per hour at high-speed cruise, up high.
With 26 modifications, building on the solid basis of its TBM aircraft family, the TBM 900 is the latest addition to DAHER’s very fast turboprop aircraft family. The 900 model offers an upgraded environment for both pilots and passengers, along with improved efficiency, and remarkable performance without increased fuel consumption or additional engine power.
One of the popular updated features of the TBM 900 is noise reduction. Significantly lower cabin levels create a more peaceful flight. The TBM 900 also has a more controlled cabin due to lower vibration levels. Additionally, it has a noticeably quieter cabin compared to the TBM 850
History
With the introduction of the Daher-Socata TBM 900 single-engine turboprop in March 2014, the French manufacturer revealed that it had been working on the project for three years—and that the airplane was already done with test flights, certified, and in production, with first deliveries underway. The new airplane replaces the TBM 850, which has been on the market since 2006, with more than 300 copies in service around the world.
